Hi, I'm Brandon Tunks – I'm an Artist with Heart

I’m 23 years old, and I love to paint. Since I was little, I’ve always liked using colors, mixing them together to make new ones, and painting what I see and feel. Art makes me happy and calm.

I have autism, and it helps me see the world in a special way. I notice colors, shapes, and patterns that sometimes other people don’t see. That helps me show my feelings through my paintings. I like painting things like trees, lakes, skies, stars, and especially the moon. I always add something special and always sign my name at the end.

My favorite painting right now is one I made of my school, St. Dominic’s School in Orangeburg, New York. I made it to say thank you to the teachers and staff who helped me. It hangs in the school lobby so everyone can see it when they walk in. That makes me feel proud.

I live with my mom, dad, and sister. My paintings are all around our house and come out for every holiday too. My family tells me I'm an artist—and I believe them. They help me do what I love every day.
